I’m not even going to deceive you by saying, ‘beauty comes from within’, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ and any other clichéd expressions we use in pretending that physical appearance isn’t a big deal. 

While beauty means different things to different people, most of us can tell when a woman is pleasing to the eyes. 

Although genetics play a crucial role in our physical characteristics, what we do to stay beautiful is much more important. 

Each time I engage in some beauty habits, I see vivid results, and this proves that what you do with what you have is more important than what you have. 

What are the habits of beautiful women? Why do some women turn heads while others don’t get a second look? What do pretty women do that stand them out from others? 

You are not about to read what you haven’t read before. There is nothing anyone wants to write that hasn’t been written before. This is just a form of reminder.

Below are 12 habits of beautiful women to engage in.

#1 They have a beauty/skincare routine 

Having a beauty/skincare routine is a prerequisite to looking flawless. Beautiful women understand their skin type (dry, oily, normal, or even aging) and know what to do to look amazing. 

Examples of skincare routine to imbibe are:

  • Exfoliation to remove dead skin cells

You can’t leave your body to chance and expect to look beautiful. You’ve got to have a skincare regimen.

#2 They’re diligent with their beauty/skincare routine

A lot of people would swear they have a skincare regimen. But not many can boast of following it religiously. It’s one thing to have a beauty regimen; it’s another thing to be diligent with it. 

I struggle with this as well. One week I’m all motivated; the next week, I’m staring at my skincare products without touching them. 

But we won’t give up. This body needs to be taken care of, especially if you want to look good. 

You could set an alarm as a reminder to perform your skincare routine. 

#3 They eat healthily

Beautiful women understand that they are what they eat; so they don’t eat anything or even at any time. 
Most people believe that eating healthily is only good to ensure good health and weight loss but it also has an effect on how you look.
Certain foods(especially fruits and vegetables) make you glow, make your skin smooth and even have an effect on your hair.
Beautiful women understand this and therefore, do not joke with their eating culture.

#4 Exercise/work out

If you want to feel and look good, exercising must be part of your daily habits or at least, weekly habits. 

You don’t need to hit the gym every day to exercise. Simple exercises such as walking, jogging, skipping the rope, dancing etc. can go a long way in keeping you healthy and beautiful.

#5 Drink water 

The benefit of staying hydrated cannot be overemphasized.

Beautiful women stay hydrated because they know water helps with weight loss, glowing skin, and good health.

Even more than that, they take extra care to take detox water from time to time because of its many benefits

I recently started taking detox water with various combinations of fruits and herbs, and I love it!

Everybody has a beauty weight which could be synonymous with the ideal weight or even healthy weight. 

Pop culture has made it seem like being skinny is the way to go for every woman but the ideal weight for every woman is different because women come in different shapes and sizes. The ideal weight is usually determined by height and gender. 

Beautiful women know their beauty weight and maintain it. 

#7 Good sleep

Many people erroneously believe the less you sleep, the more hardworking you are. So many people pride in having less than 6 hours of sleep to preach on the reason for their success.

But sleeping less than 6 hours a day is nowhere near healthy and it is not good if you want to look good.

Beautiful women have and enjoy their beauty sleep.

Lack of good sleep only leaves you with puffy eyes/eye bags.

#8 Have beauty consultants

Beautiful women take beauty serious and they understand that they need experts to let them know what they should use at different times and also what they should use to fit their face or body type.

It takes a beauty consultant to have a good idea of what to recommend at certain times, so beautiful women have beauty consultants to help augment their beauty regimen. 

#9 Hygiene 

Proper hygiene is very important, whether you care about being beautiful or not. But for beautiful women, they take their hygiene even more serious than regular people.

They make sure to stay neat, stay in a neat environment, and keep their hair and all the parts of their body neat and healthy because they know good hygiene improves their mood and confidence as beautiful women.

#10 Stay away from toxic situations/relationships

One of the faster ways to age and look poorly is to be in toxic situations or relationships.

If you want to look good, you have to learn to say no to bad/negative energy. 

Women who look good have healthy self-esteem and are too confident in themselves to tolerate toxicity, so they stay away from them, keep their sanity and stay looking pretty. 

Have you noticed how beautiful some women look when they quit a toxic relationship?

Now, forget what I said in the first paragraph, beauty indeed comes from within because happiness makes you glow.

A happy woman is a beautiful woman.

#11 Invest in beauty products 

Some beauty products are quite expensive; they are a lot and they don’t come cheap.

Beautiful women understand that being beautiful comes at a cost. So, they are ready to invest in their looks.

#12 Know/wear what fits/suits them

You will likely never find a pretty woman looking frumpy or drab.

Pretty women know what suits them, and they dress accordingly.

Even their makeup gears are exactly what will look good on them. They don’t just go for anything but what will look best on them.

If you want to be a beautiful woman, you have to understand that it comes at a price; all you have to do is be ready to pay it.
