Have you ever seen a woman who seems to have her life together, and you wonder how she did it?

I know I have.

The first job I had after school was as an assistant editor to a youth empowerment magazine that spotlighted established individuals in my country.

In our politics edition for a particular month, we interviewed a woman heading a particular parastatal in the country.

Throughout our time with her, I saw a woman who had her life together.

The way she spoke about her career, her children, and her husband, I greatly admired her as a woman who knew what she wanted out of life and had it together.

And I just wanted to be like her.

But the thing is, I could wish to be like her all I wanted, but if I don’t learn from her and take action, there is no way I can get the same result.

So, if you have always wanted to get your life together, you must be ready to put in the work.

What are those things you need to do, though?

I address an aspect in this article.

11 Morning Habits Of Women Who Have Their Life Together

1. They sleep well

I know there is an agenda that you can only be successful if you sleep for less than five hours at night.

But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The truth is that women who have their life together don’t just get by on four hours of sleep and a prayer.

They prioritize rest like it’s part of their skincare routine, because honestly, it is.

They go to bed at a decent time, wind down without scrolling through their phone, and consider their bedroom their haven.

Because they know that being well-rested sets the tone for everything else.

Now, you may be wondering what sleep has to do with morning habits since we are talking about mornings, which is from the time you wake up.

But the thing is that the way you sleep sets the tone for the rest of your day.

You can’t show up for your goals if you’re running on little energy, which is what you get when you don’t sleep well – experts recommend at least seven hours for adults.

If you want to glow and be able to show up for your day, make sure you get quality sleep every night.

2. They wake up early

I am guilty of this, I must confess; I am yet to master the act of waking up immediately my alarm sounds.

But don’t be like me.

Be like the women who have it all together; women who don’t snooze their alarms five times.

They wake up early and, therefore, have the time to be calm and not rushed.

That extra hour in the morning gives them time to move slowly, breathe, think, and simply be.

They don’t leap out of bed into chaos; they ease into their day with intention.

And no, you don’t have to wake up by the crack of dawn to achieve this.

They just wake up a little earlier than usual; trust me, it can change your day.

It gives you time to focus on yourself before facing the stress of the day.

3. They don’t reach out for their phone first

Raise your hand if you are guilty of this! lol

Luckily, I have been delivered and I must tell you there is nothing like it.

That time you spend on yourself before inviting the world in can make all the difference in your day.

The woman who has her life together doesn’t scroll Instagram before brushing her teeth.

She understands that grabbing your phone first thing pulls you into everyone else’s life, and away from your own.

Instead of flooding her brain with news that most of the times have nothing to do with her, she sits with herself and her thoughts.

For instance, she could be praying, journaling, stretching, or just sitting in peace.

You can do this too.

And if you’re wondering how to start, you can do what I did, where I promised myself I wouldn’t scroll through social media until I finished praying.

But if that’s not for you, you can always try something else.

The key is to find something that works so your mornings can belong to you and not the world.

4. They pray and practice gratitude

A woman who has her life together starts her day by connecting with God and choosing gratitude.

She makes sure to talk to God to thank Him for the day before and her night, and also commits her new day into His hands.

Like I said earlier, I had to work on reaching for my phone first thing in the morning, by making sure I pray first before I do.

So, this woman prays and shows gratitude by focusing on what’s beautiful about her life and the world.

She does it to be positive and to expect the best out of her day.

5. They do a quick workout routine

This doesn’t necessarily mean doing a full-blown gym session at dawn; it just means that this woman makes sure to move her body.

It could be a fifteen-minute YouTube workout, a morning walk, or something else.

She makes sure to do a physical activity because she knows that movement energizes her body and clears her mind.

While some women are fitness junkies, you don’t have to be the woman counting every calorie (not that anything is wrong with that if that’s your thing).

But I just want you to understand that you don’t have to be deterred from working out because you think it’s too much work.

What matters is that you are showing up for yourself.

Even a few jumping jacks or dancing to your favorite song while brushing your teeth counts; just move.

6. They do their beauty routine

I know some people think doing a beauty routine is vain.

However, here’s what I think: having a beauty routine shows that you are serious about how you present yourself.

Now, understand that this does not mean you need to have the most expensive products.

Even just a quick skincare regimen or a light makeup routine shows intention.

It is how classy women check in with themselves, boost their confidence, and face the day looking as put together as they feel.

And it also doesn’t have to be elaborate; a clean face, moisturized skin, and a pop of lip gloss would suffice on most days.

7. They speak into their day

The woman we are talking about is intentional about every area of her life, including how her day turns out.

She’s not just letting the day happen to her; she’s declaring how it will go.

They say things like, “Today will be productive.” “I am calm, capable, and confident.”

Women who have their lives together don’t leave their day to chance.

They use affirmations or positive self-talk to frame the day.

And yes, it might sound cringey when you start, but words are powerful; they can culture your environment the way you want.

So say something kind to yourself in the mirror, even if it’s just, “I’ve got this.”

8. They hydrate

Before coffee or anything else, she drinks water.

Water is one of those things we take for granted, but it can completely change your life.

It wakes you up, helps your metabolism, and keeps your skin glowing.

So, this woman in question doesn’t just drink water first thing in the morning; she keeps a water bottle nearby everywhere she goes.

If you struggle to drink water, because we have to admit, water is boring, you can squeeze in lemons or even oranges to give it a little taste.

9. They eat a healthy breakfast

I know many people ignore breakfast because they don’t have time to eat.

But remember our girl wakes up early, so she has the time to fuel her body with something that actually sustains her.

She makes sure she makes something filling and nourishing to see her through a few hours into the day.

Because she knows that how she eats affects how she feels, thinks, and works.

To be like this woman, note that you don’t need a big or expensive meal; just aim for something with protein, fiber, and real ingredients.

10. They schedule and plan for their day

This woman doesn’t just go into her day without planning for it.

She plans her day and schedule before starting her day, so she is clear about what she needs to do that day.

This helps her stay focused and protects her from being scattered throughout the day.

You can do the same by writing down your goals for the day in order of priority.

And going through them one after the other.

11. They go to work early

She also goes to work early or starts work early for those of us who work remotely.

Remember, she wakes up early, so she has a head start.

She gets to work a few minutes early, settles in, and has time to think before real work starts.

If you’re always rushing, you will almost always start with chaos.

Try leaving ten minutes earlier than usual, and you’d be surprised how much smoother your day starts because you’re not rushing against the clock.
