”My Husband Never Takes Pictures of Me!”: 8 Psychological Tricks To Apply

”My Husband Never Takes Pictures of Me!”: 8 Psychological Tricks To Apply

”My husband never takes pictures of me!”

Ah!

This used to be me.

Whenever I asked my husband to take a picture of me, he would frown and mumble his discontent and says I’m never satisfied with whatever pictures he takes of me.

I get angry and tell him not to worry.

Hehehe!

But now, he’s the one who asks to take pictures of me.

So, you’re married to a guy who never takes pictures of you.

Maybe he’s not into photography or doesn’t understand the importance of capturing memories.

Whatever the reason, it hurts your feelings.

I’ve been there.

So, if your husband isn’t taking pictures of you, let’s see what you can do about it.

”My Husband Never Takes Pictures of Me!”

1. Talk to him about it.

The first step is to discuss with your husband why you would like him to take more pictures of you.

Tell him how much it would mean to you and why it’s important to you.

You want to have memories of the two of you together, and pictures are a way to do that.

He probably doesn’t realize how much it would mean to you, and he’ll be more than happy to take more pictures of you once he understands how important it is to you.

2. Offer to take pictures of him too

My Husband Never Takes Pictures of Me

This is one of the methods I used to get my husband to start taking pictures of me.

I offered to take pictures of him so he could reciprocate the gesture, and still do.

Hahaha.

He knows the reason I take pictures of him is so he can take pictures of me.

Hey, I’m just applying the golden rule, which says, ”Do unto others what you want them to do unto you.”

So I take pictures of him because I want him to take pictures of me.

It’s simple logic, and it works like a charm!

This way, he gets to see how much fun it can be taking pictures of each other and will be likelier to want to do it more often.

Plus, it’s a great way to spend quality time together and get some great photos!

3. Give him a specific task

If your husband is the type who is always up for a challenge, then this method will work like a charm!

Tell him that you want him to take pictures of you in a specific way or do a specific activity.

It could be something like, ”I want you to take a picture of me while I’m cooking dinner,” or, ”I want you to take a picture of me with our dog.”

This way, he’ll have a specific task to focus on and be more likely to take the pictures you want him to take.

You know, men like specifics.

4. Take pictures of him when he’s not expecting it

This is one of my favorite methods because it always seems to surprise him and make him laugh.

I’ll be honest; I don’t do this as often as I should because I forget.

But when I do remember, it’s always a great moment.

I start taking pictures and videos of him while he’s doing something mundane like watching TV or working on the computer.

I send the pictures or videos to him, and he usually likes them.

He sees the benefits of creating and saving memories, and he’s more likely to want to take pictures of me too.

5. Get better at taking photos yourself

It may sound counterintuitive but trust me on this one.

If you want your husband to take more pictures of you, get better at taking pictures yourself.

That’s what I did.

I bought two selfie sticks and started using the timer on my phone to take pictures of myself instead of asking my husband to take pictures of me all the time.

When he saw that I no longer asked him, he started to offer to take my pictures without me even asking.

Independence is attractive.

People sometimes like to help those who act like they don’t need their help.

Also, your husband might feel guilty (like mine) if he sees that you now take pictures of yourself when he refuses to help you.

A husband who loves you definitely will feel somehow.

6. Ask for help from other people

If your husband never takes pictures of you, ask someone else to help you.

Friends, family, or even strangers can be great at taking pictures of you.

You don’t want to force your husband into it if he doesn’t want to do it on his own accord.

Sometimes just having someone else take the pictures can help motivate him to start doing it himself.

7. Appreciate him when he takes pictures of you

Whenever your husband takes pictures of you, let him know how much you appreciate it.

Thank him, and tell him how happy it makes you.

You want him to feel good about taking pictures of you so that he’ll be more likely to do it again.

My husband says I’m not always satisfied with the pictures he takes of me.

So we could end up taking twenty pictures or more.

That’s why he doesn’t like taking pictures of me.

My bad!

I agree, and I’m trying to adjust.

8. Use reverse psychology

You could try using reverse psychology on your husband if you think he’s the type who would respond well to it.

Tell him you don’t want him to take pictures of you anymore, and see how he reacts.

He’ll want to take even more pictures of you to prove he can.

I did this with my husband, and it worked.

Hahaha.

Even when he offered, I turned him down.

So he rarely hesitates whenever I ask him to take pictures of me now.

It’s all about getting into his head and figuring out what will work best to get him to take the pictures you want.

If you want your husband to take pictures of you, I hope these methods work for you.
